David Hoechster

David Hoechster brings decades of experience in the title insurance industry to Tar Heel State Title, which he established in 2009. He began his career with a boutique title agency in New York’s Catskill Region, where he developed a strong foundation in title searching and real estate law.


Before relocating to North Carolina in 2008, David served as Chief Counsel for one of the largest title agencies in New York State. Throughout his career, he has represented institutional lenders and private clients in a wide range of residential and commercial real estate transactions.


Recognized for his expertise in resolving complex title issues and managing intricate real estate matters, David received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and graduated with honors from Quinnipiac University School of Law. David is admitted to the NY State Bar and is not licensed in North Carolina.


David is also a competitive cyclist that races in numerous events in the Southeast.
